Political Interference in Science

The Union of Concerned Scientists has posted on their website their A to Z Guide to Political Interference in Science, not all of them are earth science related, but there are quite a few. It is quite staggering really, of course, few scientists think this problem has gotten better during the current administration. Many of these issues have persisted through democratic and republican administrations alike. That being said, it is obvious that science and/or credible evidence have played a very minor role in the Bush administrations decision making process. The UCS is a non-partisan group, and have been plenty critical of every politician who views scientific evidence and findings through political sunglasses, which is to say this is not some left-wing hack group looking for things to complain about.
