EOS and Wikipedia #2
For a follow up to my previous post, I'd just like to redirect you all to Ron Schott's Geology Home Companion Blog and this post. Ron has obviously thought a lot more about using the web as a geoscience resource than I have, and he brings up a lot of very good points on the matter. He also talks about the GeoWiki project he is spearheading, which is something we geoblogospherons (my new name for members of the geoblogosphere, which also sounds like a sub atomic particle) should become involved with.

I've done a lot of Wiki articles on seismology, geology, etc. I always write for late highschool, not university. For more complex articles, the problem is that there are not many references that are public domain and available.
I have a geology blog at badsiting.blogspot, but I currently have to be anonymous and vague.
I heard the IAU wants to reclassify Pluto as a geoblogospheron.
I actually gained enough weight in grad school to be classified as a geoblogospheron, according to the IAU.
