Any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a novel is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae.

Author Kurt Vonnegut died last night at the age of 84. In memorium and related to my last post, the following quote can easily be adapted to our discussion of reviews of scientific papers
