I know very little of your field of expertise, but will be back soon to read more and get acquainted with it.

Best--Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00617713016933175728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37371348.post-75555520697485739512008-05-04T21:09:00.000-04:002008-05-04T21:09:00.000-04:00Looks like Ron Schott already has field work down,...Looks like Ron Schott already has field work down, I wonder if that would fit into that conversation? Or perhaps worthy of another carnival.Thermochronichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08606230819461771700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37371348.post-41258301504221483532008-05-04T15:04:00.000-04:002008-05-04T15:04:00.000-04:00I think that's a great idea for an Accr. It can be used in a reconnaissance way, but the sureness with which I discuss the data. I suppose results could help clarify things if done well, the danger would just be overinterpretation.

When writing this post I thought a good idea for an Accretionary Wedge would be "What I do at the outcrop", basically how we all approach our field areas. Might be interesting.Thermochronichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08606230819461771700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37371348.post-38679591138140298552008-05-04T11:43:00.000-04:002008-05-04T11:43:00.000-04:00That's awesome ... one question, you said you want...That's awesome ... one question, you said you want to find the area of max vertical structural relief - what if you are in an area that's relatively unknown (there are still some, I think) and the mapping is poor or nonexistent. Would results from thermochron analysis clarify things? Or, would it be ambiguous and you'd have to go figure out the context yourself?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
